In 2005 at the age of 36, Heather Von St. James was diagnosed with the rare cancer mesothelioma and given 15 months to live. Today she is making a difference.

February 2 is Heather’s annual Leavin’ Lung Day where hundreds of people gather with her and write their fears on plates before shattering them in her backyard. Heather, you are an inspiration!
