So you’ve already conquered Step 1 of letting go of harsh self-judgments: acknowledging what you want to change. Now it’s time for Step 2: becoming deeply aware of the way you think about yourself, talk to yourself and treat yourself. This involves concentration and a bit of tough self-love.
Mindful awareness requires you to get out of autopilot mode and shift into extreme focus and thought. It involves thinking about what you are thinking. In order to change your harsh thoughts and self-talk, you have to be mindfully aware of what you say and how think about yourself. That way you can be fully ready for Step 3: catching yourself and telling yourself to stop. Stay tuned next week!
