Today’s post is a little different

September 12, 2013 Kristin 21 Comments

Today’s post is a little bit different from my usual posts.

Today, I want to start by thanking all of you who support my blog! Your likes, your comments, your feedback, your blog posts, and your encouragement means so much to me. This blogging thing has been such a neat experience, and I have gotten to know so many amazing people from all over the world. How cool is that? Very cool, I think. So, thank you! You all are very special!

I blog because I want to share what I learn with you, and I want to learn from you (which I do everyday- thank you). I am absolutely passionate about reading and researching. I search for evidence based happy healthy living tips and practices and then share them with you on this blog. Most of you know that I also work as a psychotherapist. When I find something that is really working for my clients, I feel an obligation to share it with you. It may be a parenting tip, a tool to improve your relationship, a new way to fight depression, a technique that lowers anxiety, or even an inspirational story or quote.

When we find something that has helped us or others, why not share it? That is what I believe anyway. And from looking at the blogs that I read, it appears that a lot of you believe that, too.

As far as sharing goes, this fall is such an exciting time for me! I am finally finishing up the book that I have been working on for over two years. I just got my book, The Snowball Effect: How to Build Positive Momentum in Your Life, back from the editor, and I am in the final stages of revision. Crazy, huh? If you had told me fifteen years ago that I would become an author, I wouldn’t have believed you. ( I didn’t even like to write back in the day.) Funny how things work out. Anyway, I will probably launch the book in January, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

As far as my blog goes, I will be creating two blog posts each week and sharing more on Facebook. If you are on Facebook and you have found my posts helpful, please click this linkΒ www.facebook.com/kristinbartoncuthriell and then hit the like button on the top of my Facebook page. This way, you can share my articles with your friends if you would like, and you will be able to receive other helpful living tips.

I plan to share more and more inspirational stories, evidence based psychotherapy practices, and life tips on this Facebook page in the future.

Again, thank you so much for being you. Never sell yourself short. You never really know how many lives you touch. You have definitely touched mine! Be positive, be grateful, be humble, and always always be you!

Thank you for listening to me ramble.

Happy Thursday, Kristin

P.S. For all of you authors out there, I have a brand new appreciation for you. Writing a book is a lot of hard work!!

Congrats on the new book. My first one took so much time that I never thought I would do one again. Just finishing up the touches on a second set of books with another author has shown me that collaborating really multiplies the creativity and energy to complete the project!
